Bendinat is an exclusive residential area in the southwest of Mallorca. It has a spectacular location directly on the sea, which contrasts with the breathtaking backdrop of the Tramuntana Mountains. The fact that many luxury properties and apartments are located here is explained by this excellent location. Moreover, from here you can easily reach Palma and its famous resorts such as Palmanova and Magaluf, as well as Puerto Portals, which is known for its high standards.
In 1229, King Jaime de Aragon pitched his tent here after a battle against the Moors. According to legend, the name of the village comes from a statement after a meal of the king who shouted, 'Bé hem dinat', to translate as 'how well we ate' Other theories say that the name of the region comes from Arabic. So there 'Ben-hijo de' means 'son of'.
A neo-Gothic castle from the 19th century rises above the small village and gives it a charm as if from the Arabian Nights. Along the hillside are luxury villas and two luxury hotels, as well as small vacation homes, most of which have direct views of the Mediterranean.
