Port d'Andratx is very popular, but relatively expensive compared to other vacation destinations on the island. Nevertheless, interest from buyers is growing as infrastructure improvements are planned and already underway. The area attracts a wide range of buyers and visitors as all different tastes and needs are catered for.
The former fishing village is not a party town, but you can have fun in Port d'Andratx. You can eat, drink, dance or just enjoy a café con leche on the beach and soak up the relaxed atmosphere. It is not uncommon to find a mix of families, couples and singles of all ages here.
Prices for real estate in Port d'Andratx vary widely. You can pay 25 million euros for an upscale villa or up to 3,500,000 euros for an apartment. Be wary of apartments located on the surrounding hills - check access before buying or renting, as many are only accessible by endless stairs.
Andratx also has a fishing port that complements the historic buildings along the coastal road and the palm avenue. There is no real beach here, which is why Andratx has never become a traditional tourist destination.
Even if you don't own a yacht or one of the expensive apartments, you can still enjoy the Mediterranean atmosphere of the port, especially in the evening hours when the rows of tables along the port road are filled and the last ships enter the harbor.
